𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤!
After last year’s successful edition, this year gave us the perfect excuse to bring the whole team to Warsaw. Four days filled with inspiring sessions, team building, and—most importantly—lots of fun. Not everyone could join us in person, but thankfully, they were able to participate online and enjoy the experience remotely. Here’s a brief recap of what we got up to.

With our growing remote team, it was wonderful to come together in one place. Day one was all about travelling—though some had already arrived on Sunday. Midway through the day, we gathered at the WeWork office to get some work done side by side. After this ‘working day’, it was time to check in and head out for dinner. The table at the restaurant was already full of delicious food! Great dishes, lovely cocktails, and plenty of laughter made for a memorable evening. To top it off, a quick dip in the hotel pool.

Time for serious business. Niek kicked off the day with a great presentation about Vendic—our growth, our ambitions, and our upcoming 12.5-year milestone. He summed it up perfectly:
𝘞𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘥𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵, 𝘸𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘦 𝘢𝘪𝘮 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘰 𝘪𝘵 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳.
Frank then took over and guided us through our operational processes. He also touched on task management, which Sil later explored in more detail during his presentation. After a hilarious lunch in a rather unique restaurant, the Dev and PM teams continued with sessions on Tideways GmbH profiling, AI, and the future of our PM and QA processes. Naturally, we rounded off the day with full stomachs and sore cheeks from all the laughter.

The focus was on 1-to-1 meetings, sessions on Playwright framework and communication. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed a sunny lunch on a terrace in the old town. Erwin gave the PM and QA teams a quick tour of Elements, while Tjitse introduced the Dev team to building custom components in Hyvä Commerce.
For those who fancied a bit of exploring, we ended the day early for some sightseeing and shopping. Our ‘bonte avond’ (celebration night) concluded with dinner, a swim and sauna session, and drinks at the hotel’s bar.

Our final working day featured a Dev session on AI discussions. We shared one last lunch together before it was time to head to the airport, train station, or car—off home after a fantastic week.
A huge thank you to the entire team. Your input has been incredibly valuable for both the team spirit and Vendic’s growth.
And a special shoutout to Marloes for being our tour guide—brilliantly organised and the steady anchor throughout the trip.
