Patching when there is time for it, and resolving incidents at an hourly rate when they happen: that worked when attacks were rare and slow. They have become automated and cheap, and what counts now is how fast a hole is closed and how fast someone responds. That is what Protect is built for.
Monthly security patches
When Adobe ships a security release, it is live on your store within 48 hours. You do not wait for the annual upgrade. If we miss that deadline, you get service credit automatically.
Vulnerabilities in your modules
When a vulnerability is disclosed in a module you run, or in one of the underlying packages your store sits on, we close it within 48 hours, with the same service credit. This covers security fixes; routine version updates belong to the annual upgrade.
Bot attacks spotted and blocked
We watch your traffic for botnets and scrapers. When we see an attack, we analyse the traffic and block the attack pattern; after that the attack traffic is usually gone within minutes. What we learn from an attack sharpens the rules for your store. An attack on the infrastructure itself falls under your hosting agreement; Protect covers the store software.
Reachable from 07:00 to 23:00
An urgent problem in the evening or at the weekend: we respond within 60 minutes, public holidays included. The work itself is at the standard rate, with no minimum charge per incident; resolving a bot attack sits inside the fixed fee. Between 23:00 and 07:00 nobody is on standby.

The signal comes from our monitoring: a spike in bot traffic, a series of errors or unusual behaviour. Or from you, via Slack or phone, when you spot something yourself.

A senior developer assesses
Is it an attack, an outage or a false alarm? What is the impact on sales and data? Within the hour you know what is going on and what we will do.

03 Step in
Block and restore
We analyse the traffic, block the attack pattern and check what was hit. What we run into on one store, we use to sharpen the rules on the others.
No contract, Protect or Pulse
Without a contract you fall back on our emergency rate when something happens, with a minimum of one hour per incident and on a best-effort basis. Protect commits the patching, the protection and the availability. Pulse does the same, and adds the maintenance.
