Rootsum, formerly Biogroei, is a family business that has been offering ecological solutions for poison-free gardening since 1992. During their complete rebranding to Rootsum, a modern, flexible webshop was needed that supports their mission for biodiversity.
We developed a Hyvä-based webshop with two unique functionalities: an interactive garden map for biodiversity networks and a donation functionality for sustainable projects. The new webshop offers a fast, user-friendly experience with extensive widget functionality for easy content management.
During the complete rebranding from Biogroei to Rootsum, we not only established a fresh, new appearance but also completely revised the webshop and communication channels. This project, realized in collaboration with a branding agency, has provided a modern, user-friendly and future-proof online shopping experience.
Customers can register their garden on an interactive map with radius display, so users get insight into how their environment contributes to biodiversity.
Customers can contribute to sustainable projects with every order, with real-time counters for four selected projects.
Extensive widget functionality that allows Rootsum to easily manage content without depending on technical support.
Much attention paid to optimization of SVGs and animations, so the webshop is not only visually distinctive but also remains fast and efficient.
